ROSE KIMBERLEY
Contemporary Technique and Choreography Specialist
Rose Kimberley is a contemporary dancer/choreographer and educator based in South West England.
Rose achieved a BA(Hons) Degree in Dance Studies, from Roehampton University in 2006. Auditioning for the Roehampton graduate company, ‘3rd Row’ Rose performed extensively throughout her training and was regularly chosen to deliver workshops in both contemporary technique, physical theatre and lifting to external colleges. Upon graduating Rose was invited back to choreograph works for the performance created to welcome new intake for 2007, at the Michaelis Theatre.
Since leaving University, Rose has worked for the following companies:
K-Squared, Loop Dance Company and Motionhouse Dance Theatre (as part of the edge) as well as many other professional projects and developmental courses - such as a year long course in aerial skills. In addition to this, she was an active participant and member of the Surrey Dance Collective.
Always having an interest in education, Rose worked at the prestigious Central School of Ballet in London between 2009-2012 managing the senior school. Here, she also began covering classes in contemporary technique and choreography. This inspired Rose to work more regularly as a dance teacher and choreographer...
Since then, Rose has taught for a variety of FE and HE dance departments in the UK including Central Sussex College, Godalming College, West Thames College, and more recently Cornwall College and Propeller.
